I am not sure that the comparison Sweden vs UK is useful. Sweden seems to be rather the exception. Moreover, Sweden has approx (last time I looked) 10 times more deaths than Norway (corrected for population). This suggests that lockdown would have made a big difference, even for Sweden.

Is there any reason to think that the UK without lockdown would have done like Sweden?
