We caught up with Mitalee for a Fireside Chat around her experiences with AXISCADES.

Genevieve: Thanks for making time for the chat, I can imagine how busy a Head of HR is. Let’s start with this, what do you like about your job?

Mitalee: Thank you. The pleasure is all mine. What I love about my job is the fact that it often gives me an opportunity to create, design and build people policies and processes rather than just execute. Since the organization is on a transformation journey, HR will play a crucial role in shaping its future and I like that ownership.

Genevieve: You mentioned transformation, is that one of the reasons you joined AXISCADES?

Mitalee: AXISCADES is an organization has done some tremendous work, won customer’s confidence and carved out its presence in niche areas where big IT/Engg companies already have a significant presence. Trends in the industry require companies to re-invent and deliver further value to their customers and with its commitment to growth, AXISCADES is doing that really well. I wanted to be a part of something important and wanted to be part of this transformation.

Genevieve: That’s interesting. I think that’s a perfect segue to my next question. With all the transformation, sometimes organization culture needs to evolve as well. How’s the work culture at AXISCADES?

Mitalee: AXISCADES is all about passion and intellectual rigor. Our Business leaders are stalwarts who are committed and passionate to their respective domain be it aerospace, defence, heavy engineering. They lead by example and our engineers thrive with the quality of assignments and opportunities which the organization offers. We drive a culture that not just focuses on delivering quality services to our customers but deliver it with utmost sincerity. As I said before, we are a committed lot, be it towards our goals or the customers.

Genevieve: Sounds like the leadership team is leading by example?

Mitalee: The leadership team is all geared up to respond to the wave of transformation. We know we have the potential to navigate the organization towards greater success and growth. And that is trickled down to each and every rank within the organization.

Genevieve: Exciting! Let me ask you one last question. Why should young talent join AXISCADES and how are you going about attracting them?

Mitalee: We have launched our Campus Connect Program where we intend to infuse fresh new talent at the base of our organization pyramid. We want people who are passionate about the domain they want to work in and really want to make a difference. We are a growing organization with a proven track record in aerospace, defence, and heavy engineering and with our recent foray into partnerships in Industrial IoT solutions and AI / ML Technologies we can provide tremendous growing and learning opportunities for fresh talent. It’s the perfect ecosystem for young talent who want to be instrumental in paving a way for a better and a different future!

More about Mitalee Dabral:

Mitalee has over 16 years of HR generalist experience in Human Resources across leading organizations in India. She holds an HRM (Human Resource Management ) degree from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences -Mumbai) 2002. She has held diverse leadership responsibilities as a Strategic HR Business Partner to support business agendas and create high performing HR teams.

Mitalee, until recently was Director HR at ANI Technologies — Ola Cabs. She was responsible for HR Service Delivery across multiple Business Units. She was instrumental in setting up and strengthening the company’s HR Policies, processes and HR service delivery capabilities in various HR aspects.

Prior to Ola, Mitalee was with Accenture, Patni & Infosys where she was leading the HR function for Product Lifecycle and Engineering Services Unit.
