Updates From The Lake — August

The market has been a real rollercoaster over the last few months, but all that time we’ve been hard at work quietly grinding.
Today, we’re going to share some of what’s to come & give a “state of the lake” style address to tell you where we are at.
1) A few role switches!
First on our list, our dear AxoMom Meemo is going to be passing the torch as Community Manager to long-time holder Bubles.
Meemo has been an absolutely amazing asset to our team and community, and we’re all incredibly grateful for her work. Meemo’s also definitely not going anywhere — she’ll still be an active part of the community & team in other capacities as the irreplaceable AxoMom! Please join us in wishing Bubles all the best as he takes on this new role.
Next up — we’re promoting Ghoul to become a Collab Manager. Ghoul’s been a part of our team for a while now, and has already landed a bunch of really exciting collabs over the last few months, so it was a no-brainer to make it official. Congrats, Ghoul!
2) Axos Turn One! (next month.)
As many of you are aware, we’re nearly one month away from the Axolittles’ first birthday! We’re extremely proud of how much our community & project has grown over time, and are even more excited for all that’s to come.
To commemorate our first anniversary, we’ll be putting on a (not so) little something something — however, I’m still in the middle of getting things planned & confirmed so no leaky leaky yet.
Don’t wanna get frontrun. Sorry fam.
3) Discord Changes
First on this front — so many new emotes! Take a peek at the newest ones when you get a chance, they’re absolutely gold.
We’ve made a few minor additions to the discord w/ the implementation of some market analytics bots & an alpha chat — going to be working tag-team with Ghoul to build this out over the next month, and would love any holder input on what sorts of features/content you guys would find most useful! Share your thoughts in the discord.
Additionally — thanks to Jon’s wizardry, we now have access to Discord Activities! This means that whenever you join the Axolittles server, there’s a variety of games now available for you to play with others in VC directly in-app; with poker, mini-golf and more! We’ll be making a lot more use of this over the next while.
There’s also something else coming to the lake… it’s top secret though.
You’ll just have to wait & see. Bubble bubble.
4) What We’ve Been Working On
As far as the other stuff we’re working on; first, Shopalotl, our in-house merch store, is launching soon! We’ve been working out the kinks to make sure everything is perfect before we release it to the public, but we’re getting close.
Last week we released L2 staking & bubble bridging; if you haven’t already connected the dots, this is in preparation for Axoquarium’s massive overhaul. We’re not going to give too much away yet, but this is easily one of the most ambitious things we’ve undertaken as a project and we’re all incredibly excited to see it come together. Longer term, but one of our main overhead project targets.
Finally on the list (and what I’m secretly most excited about): Unique Editions are coming back!
If you didn’t know, the Axolittles collection has no unique 1 of 1’s.
Our president, n8, saw this as a shortcoming of the collection and when the takeover happened, started to build out the first volume of Unique Edition Axolittles. We’ll be sharing more details on how these will be released in the near future, so look forward to that.
