Moon Mission: Part 1 — The Great Unknown

Ham was part of the few chimps from the “Alpha Experiment” who showed advanced cognitive abilities. He was the highest ranked graduate of the 7 “Chimpions” as they called them. His exceptional performance led him to become the first “launchee” before First Man.
It’s been months since Ham first launched in orbit around the moon for satellite linking in a shuttle that carries USDC used as both fuel and cargo. This mission was a success and did set the necessary foundations for what was to come…

This mission has been a decade of preparation, from the compounded hours of extreme trainings and technical skills building to the cutting edge engineering and technology involved in making this mission the most ambitious one our civilization has ever undergone:
Colonizing the moon and terraforming it into a living, breathing habitat, suitable for human growth and evolution.
Engineers decided to dump the obsolete rocket design and opt for a more streamlined and performance enhancing one that would help with both speed and moon scouting.
They also chose a propulsion system based on electromagnetic fields rather than gasoline.
Helmet pressed against his left side, his arm around it, First man turns around, his eyes are confident, focused and his heartbeat calm and composed. He presses the button inside the elevator, the door closes and he is projected upwards directly inside the seed shaped craft. A marvelous feat of design and engineering. 3 to 4 decades ahead of its time.
He takes his seat at the command center, facing the horizon as he puts his helmet on. The projection track in front of him goes on a straight line for about 250 meters then curves up 90 degrees upwards towards the sky for another 250 meters. From there the craft will run independently on force field generators and generate its own propulsion by creating an electromagnetic field around it, tapping into this well of energy.
He presses and tweaks buttons here and there knowingly with the grace and precision of a choreographed ballet. This launch is a three minutes high speed flight out of Earth’s atmosphere.

The Craft is rapidly propelled at Mach 5 on the projection track and in no time is already directed face up to the sky, anchoring First man deep into his seat before reaching cruising speed once out of Earth’s atmosphere.
The moon ahead is not just a landing station but a journey in the great unknown. A new chapter for our civilization.
The mission is to land on the moon and gain glory. Yet who knows what awaits us? Just like journeying into the cryptospace, this is uncharted territory and no one knows what’s ahead of us… Only the brave… Only.
