The Plastic Key, also known as a Spudger is a hand tool developed to aid in the opening of cases and the maintenance of electronic equipment such as cell phones, smartphones, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Tablets, Notebook’s, game consoles, among others.

The Spudger wrench counts at one end with a wedge-shaped screwdriver used to assemble and disassemble plastic components under pressure so as not to cause damage during separation. In general, this end is very much employed in tasks of replacing broken screens of smartphones and withdrawal of integrated batteries.

The other end of the Spudger wrench is formed by a pointed tip with a hook, commonly the pointed region is used to create or exploit small gaps in the components under pressure so that the wedge-shaped slot can then be used.

The hook in the Spudger Key is used to adjust wires and components, and is ideal for manipulating and arranging connections with multiple strands or to define DIP switches.

The final application of the Spudger Switch will depend on the need of the user, and can be used to open cases, disconnect connectors, remove thermal paste, lift components, assist the soldering process, unscrew a MacBook battery, hold objects, etc.

It is important to note that the Spudger Key is produced in flexible Nylon and antistatic, making it ideal for maintenance, without risk of damages caused by ESD energy and physical damage to the equipment being repaired.
