TED Playlist for Inspiration — Stories of coolest people who had gone through rough times
This is a TED playlist I created with very popular videos that you can turn on a bad day or in need of motivation. Speakers, which are very successful and widely known academicians, talk about their interest areas with reference to their own life stories. These stories involve a significant event, mostly a bad one, unfortunately, and how these bad times affected their career path. And yes, what a coincidence these cool people are all psychologists;)
This list should start with Amy Cuddy, whose talk has watched more than 42 million times since 2012. This is so motivating, inspiring, and relaxing at the same time that I feel like she is a friend to rely on bad times. Her own story is moving besides being fascinating.
This is Barry Kaufman, he starts his speech with what he went through in his own childhood and his main topic is about how your childhood dreams affect, motivate, and inspire your career. Besides providing a living example, he also backs up that point with the research.
Professor Ariely is in my coolest people I can imagine list along with Dr. House and Dr. Cooper. His main interest area is behavioral economics, particularly how irrational (i.e. stupid) human beings can be. He has had a massive injury as a child that required a long and suffering treatment. He explains how this experience made him question the dynamics of decision making.
Those cool people are here to inspire you. Enjoy!
