Who is Mateo Kovačić?
Kovačić is a 24 year old Croatian international who plays for Real Madrid. He can plays across the midfield but usually is deployed centrally or out wide on the left. He was first noticed at 18, when he played for and captained Dinamo Zagreb.
After 3 years in Zagreb he completed a €15m move to Inter Milan. He shined at Inter, with comparaisons to Kaka and Seedorf and being hailed as “a complete player” by Inter legend Boban. He was eventually sold to Madrid in 2015.
