Getting Unstuck: A Preview to Simplifying Your Life with Seth Godin

I’ve been a bit quiet on my blog recently because since the end of October, I have been working on my e-book: Getting Unstuck. It all started when I wanted to leave a situation that was not working for me. I got an email from Seth Godin that went out to a wide distribution list inviting me to join the Revolution Weekend in mid October. I have a lot of respect for Seth and I particularly enjoy his short poignant blog posts. He makes me think and take action. I am not a groupie. In my entire life, I trail blaze and connect with real people who want to make a dent in the universe. So when I received the invite to Seth’s Revolution weekend, it intrigued me but I didn’t sign up right away. And then when I received a reminder, I decided to invest in myself and signed up. I was curious about a weekend with people who I assumed were in the same place as me.

This weekend was key to my decision to write. I have consciously spent the last five years of my life unlearning, unsticking, unleashing and being; without ever knowing it fully or maybe the right word is labeling it. So why write now? The weekend was a great experience because of the people and the conversations that took place. By the end of the first day, I realized I wasn’t stuck at all. Instead of focusing on myself, I listened and took in the experience where people asked for help and Seth helped them see what was right in front of them. I was pulling together my learnings so I can share with my community in a deck. But as I was working on it, my own voice emerged and I just started writing. I plan to ship it for the New Year and hope that people find it helpful in getting them unstuck.
