Everyone has a habit of procrastination some use it on daily assigned works and some on the things they find most difficult. I had a knowledge about this technique but never practiced it believing that it requires Self Control which I will never be able to have. After taking productive course on it I motivated myself to give it a try so I did so.

I made check-list or To Do-List so that I would have clear picture of tasks I wanted to accomplish. I also tried to restrict the distraction to the minimum level. The most important fact I know about myself is that environment has great influence on me. So, its always been my habit to work in PIN-DROP Silence which my parents call Curfew.

On the serious note I knew that despite of peaceful, neat , well-organized working area I get distracted again and again by my cell-phone. Beep someone texted, Buzz some important notification on face book. To overcome these distractions I simply switched off my cell-phone. Initially every 5 minutes I got feeling that I have to check my cell phone as I might be missing something important and did so, leading to wastage of my time. I spent one whole day struggling with this and ended up saying better I will try it by tomorrow. Oh procrastination again.

On the next day I tried to avoid all that mistakes which I made yesterday. To avoid mobile phone distraction I used it to an extent that its battery died, than simply put it on charging and start working because it was Hobson’s Choice and I made it. I completed my task before time. I got so excited that I tried it again and again. On the next day I was able to put my cell-phone on silent mode and away from me and concentrate on work.It really feels amazing to complete task on time and having no constant worries. Gradually I am getting better in it and the results are also amazing. I have decided to use this technique more frequently because of its benefits.
