It is rightly said:

“If you want more KINDNESS in the world, put it there.”

Everyone appreciates kindness but no one takes pain to be kind. Although it does not require so much effort.I decided to practice it in order check what it cost and what it pays? So, I did 5 acts of kindness.

  1. I bought Lunch for the office peon.
  2. Did laundry in place of elder sister when maid was absent.
  3. Being encouraging
  4. Facebook message a genuine compliment to five people.
  5. Donate my old clothes.

There was a big smile on the face of peon when I gave him lunch. It was very hard for him to believe the scenario. For the next 5 minutes I only heard prayers for me from him. When next day I entered office there was much more respect in his eyes for me. I have very hectic routine due to which I merely get time for even myself. When I offered my elder sister the favor, she took no time to accept it. My mother was even surprised as she was not expecting this from me. Both of them appreciated me whole day. I encouraged my students and fellows and the result was astonishing. I felt they put so much effort to give 100% in their assigned task. I sent compliments to 5 friends whose efforts I really appreciated. All of them felt so special and expressed it. Lastly, I donate my old clothes that were in good condition although I could use them causally but I thought that someone out there need them more than me.

After all these acts the feeling I got was amazing. I realized that kindness costs nothing but a little courage, time and effort but pays a lot. In this monotonous life we forget to give attention to small things as a result of which we are unable to find happiness. We are so busy in complaining even of blessings that we have developed victim's mindset.I have learnt

“KINDNESS is not an act. It’s a LIFESTYLE.”
