Do This And You’ll Be Welcome Anywhere

I’ve read “Do This and You’ll be Welcome Anywhere”, and I loved it. It has so many important points that we didn’t apply in our lives. It reset my thinking and gave me a toolbox for having positive interactions with people.

The quote I liked the most from this chapter is:

“You can make more friends in two months by
becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by
trying to get other people interested in you.”

All of us like people who admire us but we didn’t take interest in anyone to admire them. According to the book the person who do not take interest in others faces the
greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. So we should show interest in other to influence other. We can win the attention, time and cooperation of even the most coveted individual by becoming genuinely interested in them.

Each point change my point of views and I’ve tried a little to apply them in my life. I contacted some of my friends and cousins to whom I talked once in a year or whenever I needed a favour from them. Their response in start was kind of serious but after realizing that I didn’t need any favour or anything, and I am talking to them just because I want to talk to them, the conversation went interesting from their side too.

We should make the other person feel important. If we’ll talk to others about themselves and their interests, they admired it and this will definitely make them to take interest in us.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
