These books are meant to create coherence in the timeline. Remember to read with your de-colonial eyes.

1. Your Inner Fish

This amazing book by Neil Shubin tells the story of Mother Earth through the lens of our bodies.

2. The Structure of World History

This books is truly important as Karatani give us a model to understand history and its transformations. For us its very important that Karatani uses the language of reciprocity. Each paragraph in this book could be a small book so please take your time reading it.

3. The Empire of Cotton

Important companion to Karatani’s book as it help us to understand the development of the Global economy and how colonialism, slavery and technology create a new economic global order.

4. The Third Industrial Revolution

Jeremy Rifkin creates an important framework for us to understand modernity from an economic perspective.

5. Recovering the Sacred

Winona LaDuke gives us much needed medicine and political perspective, she articulates the great culture, organizational, political and economic wisdom of Native Communities.

Remember that the journey of the Long view brings much wisdom but through a lot of struggle, make sure you reach out to others and take your time. This is only the beginning.

In reciprocity,

Ayni.
