On Solipsism

We all have different perspectives. The way you see me is different from the way I see you — that’s if you see me at all.

For example, in the TV miniseries “Shogun”, Tokugawa Llyesau has no idea what the map of the world looks like. Kinda grave, isn’t it?

The most powerful man in Japan has no idea what the the outside of his domain looks like. Nor did he ever tried to step out of it. Considering the reality of Medieval Japan, this was simply custom.

The Tokugawa clan boasted the most sophisticated and exposed individuals.

Now imagine what it was like for the peasants. All they knew was the Land of Japan. For them, the world would begin and end only in Japan.

And even more so remotely, in their villages — where they lived to toil. Not quite because that’s the actual extent of the world, rather it was the upper boundary of their world.

There is ample evidence for Solipsism. No doubt about that.

FX’s Shogun

But it doesn’t have to be fate. Go out and enjoy the world. Enjoy your world.
