Come up with good idea is just the start! For dreamers, working out what to do next can be a challenge. In this post, I will give you, from my own experience, an insight into the three things you can do right now to be successful in business.

I received my PhD degree in image and signal processing — the sub-field of Computer Science — from the French National Institute of Research on Computer Sciences (INRIA) and the University of Rabat Morocco. I am also a co-founder of Intensify Studio, a Mobile App Development Company that aims to create fitness app to help fitness instructors create their own workout app with no hassle and with very small budget.

I’m not going to pretend like these things are the only ways to be successful in business — there are plenty of others — but these 3 things remain the big factors, that can help you make progress with most of the goals you have for your work.

And with that in mind, here are 3 things that you can do right now to be successful in business. These three steps will be at the heart of your success.

1. Hard work: Work your butt off

The most important part of building your success in business is working hard.

I don’t care what people say about a 10-hour work week or zero-hour work week. If you want big results you have to work your butt off.

There may be a time when you can let up a little bit, but when you’re getting started there’s no doubt about it, you have to work like crazy. And I’ve to admit, at times like that you say to yourself, “Am I the only one working this hard?”

Jimmy Pattison chairman of Jim Pattison Group says: “Business is my recreation. I’d rather go to our factories and meet with our people, than go to the beach, I can tell you that.”

It’s all hard work, nothing comes easily, and behind every business success are hours of plain hard work.

2. Learn: Keep improving yourself

The second thing that makes people great in business is Learn. Always keep trying to improve.

Successful people are always improving themselves and what they do. Getting better at anything means practice, practice, and always aiming to do your best.

Take a construction worker. He worked hard to do backbreaking work for 10 hours a day or 12 hours a day. I see him out there on the street sometimes till 9 or 10 p.m. The problem he’s not actively learning how to do a better job, how to contribute more to society. Although, his job is important just like anybody else’s, but he’s not learning and going above and beyond.

Someone who achieves great success in business is always improving. Continuous improvement means getting good at something, then getting better, and then aiming to be the best.

3. Never Quit: Persist

The last and the hardest thing in order to be successful in business, is to never quit.

It’s kind of against human nature; it’s happen when things get though, and uncomfortable. You fought long enough and you can’t fight anymore. Therefore, you don’t fell like you can win and you want to get out of there.

You should keep in mind that there is no overnight success. Persistence works hand-in-hand with patience.

Larry Page co-founder of Google says: “It takes a long time to do these things and a lot of success is just due to the amount of time you put into it.”

You’ve got to persist to failure, because all successful people fail.

Robert Ward Senior VP, Universal Studios says, “You really have too persist because it won’t be easy and there will be failure. You need to pick up yourself up, stay on course, and continue down that path.”

It’s important to keep in mind that failure is inevitable — whether it’s making mistakes or facing blatant rejection. How you deal with it can be the deciding factor.

Richard St. John author of 8 to Be Great says, “Failure can be heartbreaking, and when it happens you have a choice, you can let it be your school or your funeral.”

The right choice, of course, is using failure as a stepping-stone and building off it. Once you do, it’s all about relentlessly moving forward.

I have managed to have a PhD degree in computer science and build a Mobile App Development Company focused to create fitness app for personal trainer at the age of 31. These didn’t happen by chance because I already wrote that goals down seven years before I accomplished it. Becoming successful is not about lucky, starting big or being intelligent but its all about doing these big three things.
