Have you ever lost your hard work due to a hibernating PDI? We’ve all been there, especially when navigating the complexities of the learning ServiceNow (SN) platform. The constant reminder to “wake those PDIs” from my SN Externship Instructor echoes in my mind as I build and enhance my SN expertise.

Maintaining our application status post our externship was a significant concern for me and my group members. While we worked diligently on our capstone project, our TA dropped a valuable hint: linking our app to Github. While he wasn’t exactly sure how to do it, me and my group members explored the process. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Create a repository

Begin by creating a new repository on GitHub to host your SN application.

Step 2: Create Access Token

After setting up the repository, navigate to settings and access developer settings. Create a personal access token by choosing tokens (classic) and generating a new token (classic). Follow the prompts to select the appropriate scope, hit “Generate Token,” and copy it.

Step 3: Create Credentials
