There are different types of welding machinery, required in different industries. Some of the commonly used welding machineries in industries are:

1. MIG Welding — MIG welding machinery is easy to use welding machine. It can be easily used for beginners because one can learn it easily. It involves two type of functioning. The first is use bare wire and the second is use of flux core. Bare wire MIG welding is used to join the thin pieces of metal together and the Flux core MIG welding is used outdoors as it does not require a flow meter or gas supply
2. Stick Welding — Stick welding is also known as Arc welding. It was used in old days with it is still in fashion for few industries. It uses the old concpet of application. Using Stick welding is harder than other welding machiner and one require to master for using the MIG welding. Stick welding uses a stick electrode welding rod.
3. TIG Welding — TIG welding machinery is extremely versatile machine that enables welding of most conventional metals. It is harder and difficult welding techniques to learn which can only be used by skilled individuals. It requires two hands for operation one for hand feeds the rod whilst and the other for holding the TIG torch. This can be used in aluminum, steel, nickel alloys, copper alloys, cobalt and titanium.
4. Plasma Arc Welding — Plasma arc welding uses a precision technique. It is commonly used in aerospace applications. It can suitable for metal thickness of 0.015 inch. It application may include engine blade or an air seal.
5. Gas Welding — Gas welding machinery is traditional welding which is still used to some extent. Gas welding works on oxygen and acetylene. It is portable welding machine. They are used to weld bits of car exhaust.
