How to Add Someone as Writer on Medium

Here is how you can add someone as writer so that person can submit stories to your publication.

1. First, go to the homepage of the publication where you are an editor or owner and click on the down arrow at the top. Then, click on the “Edit” link:

2. Next, click on the left arrow on the top right side:

3. Click on People:

4. Finally, click on Add Writer and add the username of the writer you want to add. You must also click on the save button at the top otherwise Medium will happily ignore your changes.

Again, do not forget to click on “Save” at the top, or your changes will be lost. I always forget this so, just making sure. ☺

Adding someone as writer has no risks. Since the posts will still need to be approved by you or one of the other editors.
