a broken desire, the transience of it all

sways you till it is tired

of the flickering movement

the ultimate fall

when you can no longer endure, you create a wall

to fight the unpredictable flow

of subconscious regret

of feelings you may not know

the haphazard understanding

the forgotten intent

of why it happened

the way it did

so sudden so hazy

only to leave the clarity of shame

of mistakes learnt and that nothing can be blamed

that choice is a privilege

one you cannot forgo

for it’s the blessing in disguise, it’s the seasonal sorrow

then and now

you look back to relive

the perception of your past

for which you yourself are unable to forgive

let go of the rope, for it is now a noose

you will carry around forever

because now is the only time

to break loose
