Gurgaon Is Killing Me With Each Passing Day
Dhrishni Thakuria

I have lived in Gurgaon for around 14 years and I had the same experience. It is not that I do not have friends there who are good, but I haven’t been able to get adjusted to Delhi/Gurgaon even after living there for a majority of my life. Same goes for my parents. We are from Kolkata, a place where there is abundance of culture and especially the people there are helpful and caring. Gurgaon is harsh and unaccepting. It is a city where I feel that if I don’t upgrade myself to particular level, it will spit me out. And you are from Mumbai, a place which I feel is a city of life and where you feel welcomed, so I can understand why you wrote what you did. Hope you find peace and happiness :)
