There’s something beautiful about code.

Code is like religion.

Its almost spiritual, the strict adherence to syntax, the perfect functioning of the keywords. It requires in depth study and rigorous practice day in and day out to attain perfection. You cannot miss the rules.

Its up to us how we use it, do we use it to spread love, or hatred.

Do we write surveillance programs or viruses. Do we protect people or attack them.

Code is like our society. It consists of people like us.

The magical switch statement. The perfect harmony with which it flows, from one case to another, falling through if you forget to break, it plays like a symphony to the ears.

The self-centered if- such a tiny word, with so much power. It can prevent thousands of lines from getting executed. Pride, it must feel, because it is powerful in that way but it can never get lost in its pride, as there’s the humble else to the rescue. Presenting an alternative to the evil if, telling us, there is more to life than conditions and promises, there’s always an alternative.

The hardworking for - Never misses out anyone, all inclusive, all caring, no matter how many iterations maybe required, it will keep going till its supposed to. Keep toiling hard.

Do stuff. Move on. Repeat.

While while on the other hand, will do something only if a condition is met. He’s the moody one. While is like if’s cousin in that sense, but it’s actually for’s and switch’s half brother. Ever confused to check the conditions before the statements or do it afterwards.

And then there’s try- who loves to take risks always, with eternal hope, sometimes winning, sometimes losing, but catch has got his back, so no need to worry. And even if catch misses something, they can always fix things finally. After all, there are always some Exceptions.

Code is like the air we breath. Its everywhere around us and we can’t really see any of it.
