Completely agree to your thought process. I personally believe prototyping is done for communicating the flow of the app + getting actionable feedback from the team.

For this reason, I recently saw www.canvasflip.com getting featured on Product hunt. Unlike others, it magically captures UX insights like Session videos, Interaction heat-map, Conversion Funnel and others..

I tried CanvasFlip and found it really helpful in enhancing the UX of apps :)

However, if you are creating prototypes just for presentation stuff- Invison, Marvel, Adobe XD are good to go with.
