My son had a preschool classmate, who we’ll name Kevin. The first time his mom and I met, she asked what extracurricular activities my kid was enrolled in. Both my son and Kevin were 4 years old at the time and spent at least 9 to 5 every weekday in their preschool. My child did not have any extracurricular activities except for occasional swim lessons. Kevin’s mom seemed surprised.
