"RAMADAN"

ALLAH (SWT) said in QURAN:

"The month of Ramadan (is that) in which was revealed the QURAN, a guidance for the people and a clear proof of guidance and criterion." So whoever sights (the new moon of) the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey than an equal number of other days. ALLAH intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship, and (wants) for you to complete the period and to glorify ALLAH for that (to) which he has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. "

2:185 (Surah AL-BAQARAH)

Ramadan is the 3rd pillar of Islam. Ramadan is the 9th month in the Islamic calendar. Ramadan is the celebration of the Quran’s anniversary. The book transformed the uneducated Arabs into the most cultured and civilised people within a short period of time. Ramadan is the month of soul purification. Fasting occurs throughout the world where Muslims live during the month of Ramadan. All Muslims believe that in A.D. 610, the angel Gibrail appeared to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W) and revealed to him the Quran, the Islamic book. The first revelation of Islam is:

"Read: in the name of ALLAH, who created and created man from a clot; and ALLAH is the Most Generous, who taught by the pen, taught man that which he did not know."

(Bukhari: 4953)

That was the revelation night, whose name we know as Laylah-Tul-Qadar ("the Night of Power"). The Quran consists of 114 surats and is taken to be the direct words of ALLAH. At the end of the month, Muslims celebrated the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, a 3-day celebration as a gift.

Purpose:

In the month of Ramadan, Muslims try to become spiritually closer to ALLAH. They try to do this during fasting and abstaining from keeping away from drinking, lying, smoking and other bad habits between sunrise and sunset each day. Ramadan is also a time for unity, praying, reciting the Quran, and doing good deeds. They donate to charity, avoid lying and fighting.

Benefits:

Let’s talk about the benefits of Ramadan:

1. Replace bad habits with good habits:

Ramadan is an excellent time to switch from bad to good habits. During a fast, you avoid using tobacco, fighting, and telling a lie.

2. More Nutrients:

During Ramadan, you will find your metabolism becomes more efficient. Fasting is also a hormone called adiponectin, which means the habit of pre-hunger is ended. This benefit is not only for metabolism but also for all aspects of your body.

3. Charitable giving:

Every Muslim gives a certain percentage of their income to the poor and needy. This practise also one of the pillars of Islam. All Muslims believed that good deeds were rewarded more abundantly during this month than during the rest of the year. Therefore, all Muslims donate a huge amount of their worth. This process is also known as a Zakat.

4. Night prayers:

Muslims perform night prayers throughout the duration of the month of Ramadan. They performed Taraweeh throughout the month, waking up on the Laylah-Tul-Qadar nights (the last two days of Ramadan) to worship and persuade ALLAH. Muslims recite at least one Quran in the whole month of Ramadan.

ALLAH (SWT) says:

"Laylah-Tul-Qadar is better than a thousand months."

(QURAN: 97:3)

5. Forgiveness:

One of the benefits of Ramadan is the opportunity to continue praying and forgiving ALLAH. The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W) stated that:

"Curse is the one who witnessed the blessed month but didn’t earn ALLAH’S forgiveness."

For that, wake up all the nights of Ramadan, worship, and find the mercy of ALLAH. So don’t be late.

6. Eid-ul-Fitr:

Eid-ul-Fitr is a symbol of unity. The end of Ramadan is marked by a celebration known as Eid-ul-Fitr. Namaz is performed all around the world where Muslims live, and after performing, they meet relatives and friends to exchange gifts. At the end of Ramadan, the three-day festival of the Breaking of the Fast They were new clothes, also donated new clothes to the needy people. And enjoying traditional foods with loved ones. These are the three days that Muslims give as holidays. so that Eid can be celebrated vigorously.

In this month, the Quran was revealed, a month to renew the spiritual and self discipline aspect aspects through extra prayers at nights, reciting QURAN, contemplation, acts of Charity and socialization.
