Nowadays, electricity occupies a very important position in the life of the world community. Electricity is one of the most widely used resources by humans. All life activities carried out by humans all depend on electricity. In fact, to take a shower, use a computer, charge a smartphone, and to make lighting in an area all require electricity so that everything works well. If the supply of an amount of electrical power is reduced, it is certain that most human activities will cease, especially with the situation and conditions of the current civilization of society which is largely dependent on technological devices that make electricity as its base energy.

In 2009, the name Blockhain became prominent in the eyes of the world community. This makes the interest of digital technology activists increasingly to this one technology, so that most of the idealist technologists who are currently attracting this system to become the basis for their innovation breakthroughs. Thanks to this technology, new platforms were born that use this technology as their operational system and function in managing all activities of human life in various industrial sectors so that we now know Soraix as an investment platform, Xcard as a financial transaction platform and others all of which have its own benefits for the development of the people’s economy.

Seeing the condition of electricity as a necessity of life and collaborating with world technology situations that are increasingly sophisticated, the Blockchain technology makes experts in the field of technology and business build a power plant project that uses this technology. The project under construction is called “Gigajoule Floating Solution”. This project was built by looking at the various major crises of the world community on access to electricity in their region. Therefore, the existence of this project is expected to be a major contribution to the development of electricity access in various countries.

As a power plant that uses Blockchain technology, of course, this tool is different from power plants in general where every access is made to this machine, all of which are fully controlled by its own access without any interference from other parties. In addition, every data access stored on this machine will be protected and verified with strong security standards that are optimal. Gigajoule Floating Solutions chose natural gas as raw material for the power plant they will run. Natural gas was chosen because this material is a carbon-based energy source that has a very high cleanliness scale. In addition, natural gas is also a natural raw material that has a large potential value and is spread across various surfaces of the earth.

In developing the project, Gigajoule used a Siemens SGT-A65 type gas turbine which would later be installed on a barge placed in a lagoon. With the use of turbines placed on this barge, Gigajoule can be carried and placed anywhere as long as the region has a water sector. And it is a gift that we have gained where most of the earth’s surface is dominated by water areas, thus providing opportunities for Gigajoule to be used in any place in the world.

As previously explained, that Gigajoule uses Siemens SGT-A65 gas turbines as its engine. This turbine is an aeroderivativ gas turbine that is usually used on aircraft engines. However, with the high reliability and efficiency that this turbine has, other industries also use this turbine as their power base. One of the advantages possessed by this turbine is in the form of tolerance features that are friendly to the “stop and go” performance of an engine, which has a very good impact in maintaining the load balance of an engine. In addition, this turbine also has a very fast start-up time which is very good in saving the performance that will be removed from a power plant.
