How We Tried to Design Our Own Book Cover (and How Jessica Hische Saved the Day)

That’s great cover, indeed. Please don’t blame me for my sense of style, but to me as great as one of those 219 created at the beginning. And that raised a series of questions, like: How was the desired design defined? It looks like a lot of effort was put to make it happen — was the ROI measured anyhow? What unit was used for ROI?

I ask because I work with development teams as an agile coach and similar situations happen there, just in terms of technical solutions. Curious how designers spot ‘good enough’ product and don’t burn out the budget :-)
