Except that you had a choice. You didn’t have to put yourself through all of that. You could have taken more time off, you could have lowered your standard of living. Your husband could have taken a steady job that had guaranteed income. Society will always judge people for the decisions they make. They will judge your for being too good, they will judge you for being too bad, too fat, too skinny…You need to take control of your life and your choices and stop blaming society. If you can’t do that yourself then how do you expect to teach a child how to do it?

You think because you have had a child and a career that you have any idea what it is like for single parent. It’s like a white man with tattoos saying he is marginalized too. The difference is the ability to choose. You have that ability to choose and you get what you chose.
