Male Athletes May Insist Otherwise, But Locker Rooms Are Filled With Toxic Masculinity
Sarah Lerner

Having played sports most of my life, non-professional, locker rooms can be crazy but I want to add that it’s not limited to objectification of women either. There is a lot of homo-erotic touching, joking and other things that can make not just women uncomfortable but a lot of guys too. Some of which could by legal definition be classified as sexual assault. Most guys seem to at least take it in stride but it’s a dangerous line.

I’m not saying this to in any way minimize the objectification of women but to further expand on what goes on in locker rooms. There is a very eat or be eaten mentality and anyone is a potential target.
