I am so glad to see that someone as prominent as Mr. Warski is bringing to the fore, the point of readability and maintainability of Scala-based application code. This particular point is noticeably less discussed in the regular Scala forums, discussion channels and blogs.
I have been a programmer since early 90’s; those days I wrote commercial ‘C’ programs on Unix environment. Mastery of ‘vi’, shell, make and requisite grasp of RegEx were the only handy tools we had. If nothing else, those had prepared us for being independent of — if not somewhat skeptical of — frameworks.
