Ashamed and worn down we all hide,
The Feelings which usually make a mess of our lives.
A lifelong game of "hide but no seek" we play,
Only to wish there would be someone,
Who would wait back and stay.
Buried behind wounds from the past,
Refusing to reveal the depth of our thoughts,
Pushing close bonds beyond boundaries,
Fraying the knots which we think set us free.
Why not simply speak the words which we wish to say?
And not throw lives into disarray.
If to "Feel" is considered a shameful trait,
Then the world around us,
Would be filled with hate.
