HOW I BEGAN TAKING ONLINE CODING CLASSES AND YES, IT WAS A RIGHT DECISION!
Then the next major question is what I wanted to learn? Which career is suitable for me. Well, there were several tech jobs listed when I Googled, well “Tech jobs after graduation” Pretty naive I know! Like I said, I am was a person of great interest in writing and I had prior knowledge of HTML at High school. So I thought why not web development? Research continued on that field and Voila! I was pretty convinced, yes this is what I wanna do in my life, build websites and write as much I want.
Like I said, I searched for people who actually worked as web developers and read their articles and contents. It showed me, what a wonderful world we are all living in with so many opportunities, just existing out there to be explored, with all its glory and elegance. Finally, I hope the decision I made would not go wrong. But nobody succeeds without mistakes, and they become champion when they learn from it.

So, I can see what exactly it means. The industry is big enough that you wouldn’t have any idea what’s going on. For a student like me, the pressure is huge and to find a wooden plank to hold is pretty tough. When I started spending more time on LinkedIn and reading articles everywhere, developing soft skills became more relevant. Even for applying for internships was a necessity, but lack of skills drew me back. There were times where I stumbled on various MOOCs which included Coursera, Edx and several others, and online courses, either way, developing coding became the major intention. In the end, I ended up at CodeAcademy where I kick-started my coding lessons and refreshing my pre-knowledge on HTML, with new platforms/add-ons such as CSS and programming in JavaScript, which turns out have no relation with OOL Java.
After a week or two, I decided to look for a platform where I can actually work with projects and hosting. That was when I came across FreeCodeCamp. I enrolled in their web developer course which is going pretty well. But in the end, it’s up to you how well you want to learn and succeed. The goal should be embedded within you that, nothing should come in your way. I had been on the course for one and a half month now. Along with my classes at college, online coding also gives me a who new level of confidence and something to look upon too.
