My solution is getting a smart TV.
Rohit Ganapathi

I didn’t consider smart TVs because of the proprietary software. Google has a huge software team and will keep updating its tech. I don’t know if TV makers like Sony can keep improving their software at that pace. Price was the other factor. At the rate tech is evolving, I prefer quicker upgrade cycles of 1–2 years. To afford that, I have to keep costs down. Of course, there are compromises, like I can’t get to see 4k now. But I can live with that as there isn’t too much 4k programming at the moment. I guess there’s no right or wrong way, and it comes down to individual preferences.
