I’m *so* functionally illiterate! :)
Can the functional approach approach Self’s brilliant clean, modular, and object-not-class design. I pine for it but JS has it’s own way.
And performance. Yes. It is important. Can we have a deep conversation somewhere on this? Is there an existing one?
I have a repo with tens and even hundreds of thousands of instances. I even invented “two headed classes” for space efficiency. And using Three.js, I can keep 100K of these animating and interacting.
But this functional thing is so compelling. I *hate* this! And simplicity is such a struggle.
So I need a clear, JavaScript oriented, discussion on all this and with space/time performance included.
