Adam Jones announced today he has accepted the position of creative director for Vince McMahon’s new company, WWE Games. McMahon has been developing a new interactive WWE wrestling video game, “WWE vs The Mini Me’s”, where your favorite wrestlers battle midget versions of themselves. McMahon was quoted in a joint interview with Jones and WWE magazine, Wrestle Zone,

“Adam’s mega fan status and creative vision is the perfect fit to take our game in the direction it needs to go to be successful.”

McMahon shows his excitement during the Adam Jones announcement.

Jones added,

“With progress on the new album at a standstill I am excited to work on a project that will get my creative juices flowing again.”

Adam’s band, Tool, has not produced a new album since 2006 with 10,000 Days yet the band continues to sell out arenas filled with insufferable fans shouting, “Take my filthy dollar!” Meanwhile teasing the fans of a new album on the horizon.

Adam brings previous video game development experience to the table. He worked on Guitar Hero: World Tour designing a stage for Tool’s venue in the popular game. He worked closely with Alex Grey to bring the artist’s work to life.
