The 3 Pillars of Broadcast Television: Constructing the final pillar on the internet with Badmirror

Broadcast TV you grew up with has 3 distinct functions; 1. Live content, 2. Programmed Content and 3. Semi-curated channel surfing

Before Badmirror, only the first two functions had made their way onto the internet. There are the live-streaming sites like periscope and facebook live, that put live events onto the internet, and then the on-demand video streaming sites like netflix, youtube, and hulu whom provide the programs you want to watch exactly when you want to watch it.

Youtube has come close to bringing channel surfing to internet, however, with one critical difference. We’ve likely all had that exhilarating run through youtube, clicking random links and getting lost in it. It is fun but it isn’t something that translates well into a social experience nor is it something you can do without paying close attention. When you have friends over it is never the same experience (who wants to fight over the mouse?) and it is impossible to do while focusing on homework, conversation, a book, etc.

Badmirror.tv is the first and only website that brings the hands-free, relaxing element of tv watching that keeps it interesting and engaging without the laborious and sometime contentious inputs from the viewer(s) required.

Experience it for yourself. No accounts required to start watching all that your local culture has to offer. Keep your eyes out for our next release and national launch, coming soon.
