Who are all the Faceless People?
Erika Sauter

I suppose I am a bit ‘faceless’, too.

I’ve been following you for a while, but right now I cannot remember when or where or why.

I’ve been on Medium for a while, but of late I’ve been caught up in a publication I’m co-editing with a friend. I’m also going to be out of station for almost a month, so I need to get the weekly publication posts ready and schedule them in advance.

Anyway, I realised that I’ve been spending a lot of time generating content for my own site, but my time spent commenting, responding, and generally interacting with other people on Medium has gone down.

I do think of comments while reading posts, but then don’t quite have time to reply at that moment. So I bookmark them to reply to later.

I don’t know how many of your nameless, non-interacting followers are like me, but I have to admit that I’m one of them.

But I plan to come back. Yes, I plan to come back.
