I’ve wondered about this a few times, but thanks for spelling it out! I don’t have projects big enough for it to matter — most of what I work on is only used by friends I know, and emailing errors is still rare enough to be effective— but I guess it’s still good to keep in mind in the future.

Also, the feeling you get when someone finds an error but doesn’t bother to report it? So annoying!

But then again, there are many times when I’ve done it as well.
