it’s hard to imagine a better place to go.

But what if you want to experience something a little different? What if you’re looking for peace and quiet, or the chance to learn about the fascinating history of a little-known corner of the world?

Borama is the place for you. Situated in a mountainous and hilly area in the northwest of Somaliland, this vibrant city is characterized by pleasant weather, friendly people and has plenty of interesting sights to keep visitors engaged

In Borama there are so many things that you can do while you are on vacation in this tranquil area. It has green meadows and fields and represents a key focal point for wildlife. You will see all kinds of creatures at night when it’s dark out, such as fireflies, deers and even bats!

This is also great if you love nature because there are lots of places where you can go hiking or camping in Borama. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery while getting some exercise too!

So here are my top 10 reasons why you should visit Borama:

1.Inviting community: people live in harmony with one another, regardless of their clan, origin, religion or political view. People smile and greet each other with a firm handshake every time they meet and you can feel the peace and serenity hanging over.

2. Wildlife activities: you can get involved in birdwatching or stargazing and filming time lapse at countryside.

3. New comers are always welcomed: since Borama is an educational hub for the region, many students chooses Borama universities to continue their education. Many hotels and guest houses are available for rent for tourists and both local and international students too.

4. The food is delicious: you’ll love the spicy flavors of traditional Somali cuisine!

5. It’s affordable: you don’t have to break the bank just for one night at an upscale hotel or dinner at an expensive restaurant.

6. Formidable history: it include ancient remains of tombs and mosques dating from various historical periods, ranging from the 12th through to the 18th centuries. Most are from the 15th and 16th centuries, when commercial activity was at its peak in the region that is associated with the medieval Gadabuursi Adal Sultanate (Borama turned 100 years in 2019).
