He just seems like a perfect storm of things front offices aren’t interested in, a QB with better legs than an arm in this high flying pass-first NFL, an off-field distraction, a controversial political persona, and a solid backup looking to be a starter. I wouldn’t chalk it up to any single thing, but a simple combination of two or three of the above that turns front offices off enough to not even consider him. Not difficult to understand, and probably not politically driven, at least not as the focal point.
