On the back of deep rooted and strategic relations between Bahrain and the US, the Kingdom’s world-renowned Police Band took part in the US Independence Day celebrations on July 4 at the nation’s capital.

The Police Band takes part in ceremonies associated with Royal decrees, official and military ceremonies as well as folk celebrations. The Bahrain Police Band invokes a blend of military tradition with Bahrain’s proud heritage, which is reflected in their music, instruments and uniforms. As a result, the Police Band’s inclusion to participate on such a momentous day is another reminder of the resolute ties among the two nations and a clear reflection that the 120-year alliance between Bahrain and the United States continues to strengthen.

The band delivered a high-class performance reflecting Bahrain’s heritage and diversely rich legacy. Those attending the event, including military music experts and performers, appreciated the band’s performance while officials and media representatives also commended the high skill and fine music performance.

Band Commander Major-General Dr. Mubarak Najem said, “The band was honored to represent Bahrain at the international event as part of its dedication to ensure a high and distinguished music performance”. He indicated that the band’s participation in the US Independence Day celebrations was a success thanks to the constant support of His Excellency Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

Dr. Mubarak also said the band had to dedicate enough time for rehearsals and ready themselves for the event, as the band’s century-old legacy was maintained and elevated by the performance and skill sets of the band members.
