You can’t be in a fulfilling relationship until you learn that expressing who you are, standards and all, is the only way to attract someone who’s going to love you for you. Until that happens, if no one meets your standards, you are better off alone, without a shadow of a doubt.

But there’s one thing that lowering your standards will absolutely not do for you: it won’t give you healthy, long-lasting love.
