I was on my work when my manager show me this beautiful, beautiful font. I asked him right away how to make my editor (vs code) looks the same and he show me the font that make all this magic. It was Operator Mono font.

oh man, this is gorgeous

I install it and everything looks so wonderful beautiful, it was a pleasure to code on such a beauty environment. But everything comes with a but.

It was a beautiful font indeed… on MacOs. On windows it was just wrong. Everything was bold. Oh god, I can’t work like that. So I made my research and find a way to make it looks the exacly same on Windows. And that’s why you are here, so lets begin with this quick guide.

if your Operator Mono looks like this don’t worry, we are here to help you

With the font installed, you will need to install the OperatorMonoDarkTheme to make the ligatures show up. Then you need to add this on your settings:

“editor.fontFamily”: “Operator Mono Light, Consolas, ‘Courier New’, monospace”

Your vs code will be like this. Much better!

Restart the vs code and you will see this beautiful font on all its glory. Happy coding :D
