Open When: You think I’m a poet

You said I was a poet.

I am not a poet.

Words don’t flow from the depths of my heart to flood the emptiness of a blank page,

My ideas are not profound nor do they attempt to shake the consciousness of man,

these words will not live 400 years.

I am not a poet.

My pen can not dig a grave

nor move a mountain

I cannot make the world fall in love.

I am not a poet.

My muse is one man not love itself

These words are mellow in my palm, no urge to speak to the world.

I am not a poet

but my love is poetry.

Let it dig graves

move mountains

shake the conciousness of man.

It can.

Not I.

I am not a poet.
