What I Learned Doing a 10 Day Cleanse

When i first heard about the cleanse, I was curious because I had been on a bit of a bender.. Okay that’s a bit dramatic, seeing as how I eat incredibly clean typically, but I was pushing it for a few weeks and needed a reset. I was feeling cloudy and unable to concentrate. My gut felt inflamed and I didn’t feel like I had control or intention over what I was putting into my body.

My friend Ellen, told me about the cleanse — a 10 day cellular transformation. I had no idea what it entailed and how it would make me feel, but it felt right. When I unpacked the cleanse, it seemed like a lot was going on there. I didn’t feel like I would be able to keep track of what to take & when to take it. Luckily I had the most wonderful cheerleader along the way to coach me through the whole thing. Ellen sent me emails each day with informational bits about each product & coached me through the emotions that coincided with each days attitudes.

Before it all kicked off I went grocery shopping and picked up my ‘flex foods’ to prepare for the cleanse. It’s not a huge list of foods that you can choose from, but it’s definitely a decent size and lucky for me — most of my favorite foods made it on the list — avocado, apples blueberries, spinach, cucumber… the list goes on.
