Is Trump treated fairly by the Media
Good morning…afternoon, or evening everyone. There is a lot of criticism and back and forth between our new president, Donald Trump and the media. This thought is mainly for his conservative, Christian supporters. Before I begin, I want to clear up a few things about myself
- I am Christian…. yes, I have my faults and I spend time daily with God and I am actively involved in my church. I do not look down on anyone because of their mistakes or indiscretions past or present…However, don’t be mad when God shows his favor on my life :)
- I am moderate Democrat, with some Republican tendencies… I don’t always vote down party lines. I vote Democrat most of the time; however, if a Republican can come along, has Christian values, treats every demographic with respect, rebuild the cities, and lower my taxes, they will have my vote!
- I am African American….and my wife and I bust our asses to support our family and thrive in order for our children to have a much better life than we do.
I hear a lot of Trump supporters lashing out at the media for their rogue relationship with Trump. A lot of these supporters are Christians (like myself) and they favor Trump because he has conservative ideals. I am very surprised that these Christians have forgotten one of the basic Christian laws:
Remember, whatever you plant, you will reap! Therefore, sow good seeds. Sow the Word of God. Galatians 6:7 -7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
During Trump’s entire campaign, he mocked, ostracized , and talked unfavorably about his opponents…viciously. He viciously attacked President Obama, Democrats, and members of his own party….
Where were his “Christian” supporters then? Did they protest his language? NO!
I have done some wrong in my lifetime. I have treated people unfairly and I am here to tell you personally, you will reap what you sow. I have also been kind to people, given to charities…I have reaped those seeds as well.
Trump is merely reaping the seeds of discord and rhetoric that he planted.
I believe in respecting our leaders. I do want Trump to succeed because if he fails, WE ALL FAIL. The bible tells us to pray for those in authority over us. I pray for Trump that God will give him wisdom and guidance, because that is exactly what he needs. What do we profit if he fails miserably… the ones with the least will suffer the most. Does this mean that protesters should stop? No! Our voices need to be heard! however, we must face the fact that the “anti-Trump” media is his own doing. He sowed the seeds..
On this last thought, our past president, President Obama, was ridiculed and Republicans fought him every step of the way. They didn’t hold back, yet now they want us to rally behind Trump. Is that fair? As I mentioned earlier, I do pray for Trump.. Did President Obama’s foes pray for him? I guarantee you not.. Fox News dogged him every chance they could. People labelled his wife as a fat gorilla…Where was the compassion then?
In order to receive, you have to give first…
