How to return to the limelight in your life

Starting a new career at 34 years old seemed kind of impossible. “The devil you know is better than the devil you donʼt” was the advice given to me by the people around me. I never thought I could really code one day. If you feel dissatisfied with your work situation, maybe it’s time to consider the
possibility of a career change. Work is an important part of everyday life: it
should not only serve to pay the bills, but also bring a sense of fulfilment,
pride, and even joy. Maybe you need a new challenge or you have a dream
since when you were a child.
These were my feelings when I decided to turn my life around.
I was a Nanny before, happy to look after gorgeous children, since they help
you every day to improve your communication and educational skills, giving you an instant feedback for your daily work. There is a “but”, though.
My secret wish has always been to become a software developer, only I was
lacking of confidence.
I finally decided to realise my big dream when my logical skills where noticed by my husband, who is a software developer himself and used to talk to me about work, pretending I was his rubber duck. I found it so cool… I was really able to help!!! It became a game for me, solving challenges on Codewars and here we are, at Makers Academy!

No one has ever said it would be easy, but if you make a plan to correct the mistakes of the past and strive to have the life you want, you will be on the right path to becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be, despite everything. Don’t let the people who don’t believe in you make you break down, and don’t think it’s impossible to be successful considering your situation.
Of course, I did some research before, about the best school/course which could really fit my expectations and Makers resulted to be it for a lot of reasons.
One of these is the big support they give to their students to improve their skills, for example: self-learning and team-working.

My life was about to change… not only because I was investing my resources on my dream, but also because a few days before my interview with Makers team, I found out to be pregnant, my first child right now!!! I felt so full of energy and so worried at the same time… how could I do both things at the same time? Here is the answer: determination is something that belongs to me and if I really want to achieve something, I always do my best.

It is really unbelievable how fast a very motivated person can learn to code in different language in such a short time! I have been attending Makers Course for almost 3 months now, and I can say I am really happy to be here. To be honest, it is being almost impossible for me, attending all days of the week: loads of hospital appointments, feeling unwell sometimes; for sure it is not easy. Still, I don’t give up and study as much as I can, work with my team and try to be always positive, because I am sure I will be rewarded for my effort.

My reward is solving issues in my code, learning something new everyday.
