Daily Reflection —August 7, 2017

Praise God for Mondays!

I don’t know, but Mondays genuinely excites me now. I think it’s because I’ve became enthusiastic enough for I learned that Mondays are gifts of hopefulness from God. Despite having a tiring, heartbreaking but blessed weekend, I learned to just believe that everything are for us to hope and to believe more.

Aside from that, Monday means MWDP Night!

For today’s MWDP session, we were reminded of an important message about the gift of discernment. In our community, this word has been widely used to the point that were using it mindlessly. Well in fact, discernment carries a much deeper meaning that needs a thorough understanding. And this night, we acquired that deeper understanding of this gift, and once again, I was assured of what God’s message all at once.

Now, I am on a period of discerning. Aside from being on a cross-road itself, I believe that there will be a lot more cross-roads in the future: much tougher, much more choices, and much more confusing. Indeed, God once again fulfilled His promise to me that He will equip me all the more, as long as I let myself float and trust His plans. As long as I equip myself with more prayers and letting my senses be sharper than sharp, I would be able to take the path that I was destined for. All of these are parts of discerning, and I learned that with prayers we would be at ease, and will be ready of whatever the outcome is: may it be something good or bad, we would gladly accept as it is something that we genuinely prayed for.

True enough, God will enlighten you all the more to sustain His calling. It is always God who will give you million reasons to move forward above a thousands reasons to fall behind. Everything that I heard today about discernment is God telling me that "All of these are from me, so listen, for I am sustaining the call I laid upon you."

As Jesus revealed His providence to the 5,000 people on a desert today through feeding them with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, I believe He also poured me His providence through all of the things I learned and realized about discernment, as well as the things I would learn and realize in the future.

Above all else, discernment is a place where prayer and action meets. That’s why this inspires me to act more and to strive for excellency at all the things I do for the Lord.

Through consolation and desolation, i know that God is with me in this cross-road. He is with me in this discernment.
