In the 1st episode I explained the Genesis of the project.

Read it in 2 minutes so you don’t get lost!

This 2nd episode will be much more visual but just as interesting…

Preparation of the trip 📝
80% organization 20% action

I decided to go to Lisbon to get feedback.

Discord, Twitter is good… But nothing is better than real meetings. Seeing the reactions of people who have been in the ecosystem longer than us is priceless.

Before leaving, I organized my trip:

- Flight booking, airbnb, co-working…
- Planning of some cool places to visit
- I contacted random people on Insta + FB
- I contacted “qualified” people on LinkedIn

At the end of the article, I will reveal a paradox.

Marseille — Lisboa ✈️
A backpack and let’s go…

I just landed in Lisbon and it is beautiful:

At the end of the article, there are the cool places I visited.

Crypto Co-Working
The start of my adventure!

The 1st day, I went to The Block : the crypto co-working in Lisbon.

R. Latino Coelho 63 1er Andar, 1050–133 Lisboa, Portugal

Inside there are some very exciting Blockchain & NFTs projects:

Co-Working Open H24 + Event “Crypto Fridays”.

Before I left, I was in contact with Romàn, CEO of MechaChain, which has its offices at The Block with his partner Maxime.

MechaChain is a team of 30 people, an ultra ambitious P2E with incredible visuals (I’ve seen a few unreleased clips) and a crypto the $MECHA.

Naturally we have a good feeling and as they are very nice, I work with them in their office. And it’s much better than the open-space!

At that moment, I see a determined and very smart team that gives me lots of marketing advice and good tech contacts. On my side, I also try to give them some tips.

This passage is my way of thanking them and you will discover the continuation of our meeting in a future episode…

I stay several days at The Block and meet people from all over the world specialized in e-com, crypto, blockchain & NFTs :

Romàn & Maxime : MechaChain
Enzo Honoré : E-commerce
Guillaume Dutti : Panthéon Business Club
Pierre de Conhiout : ERA2140
Daniel Leping : Tesseract
Christophe Richon : Smith + Crown

Small aperitif before going to the club :)

Thanks to these contacts, I get what I came for: feedback.
I thank them today in this article.

LinkedIn Meetings
Disappointment at the meeting…

I also meet other people via LinkedIn:
- haughty people who want to impress me
- Boomers who don’t understand the potential of the web3

In this kind of situation, I always try to see the positive side.

Facebook & Instagram Meetings
Nothing happens by accident!

Before visiting the city, I’m still taking some time to meet some people I’ve contacted on Facebook & Instagram.

Following our exchanges, I know that these people have an interest in crypto/nfts but that’s all.

I meet several people:

I spend good moments with nice people, the conversations are already more interesting than my LinkedIn meetings but I am disappointed because the level remains low. I am looking for profiles that are more competent than I am on certain points and this is not the case.

Until we have a meeting at the SUD Lisboa restaurant that will make the difference:

A very good feeling + an entrepreneurial spirit + a taste for challenge.

I think this person understands our ambition and the potential of the project very quickly. And with her experience in a field where she is better than me, she offers to help us.

Today this person I will call AB is an Advisor and helps us in the development of our blockchain game.

We hope to collaborate and succeed together in the long term because we have the same vision: we never dropped during our different courses.

She will recognize herself and she will be revealed in a special article.
Thanks again AB for your help.

Conclusion
Let me reveal a paradox:

Looking back, I had 10x more interesting conversations with the people I contacted on Insta + FB than the “qualified” people I had targetted on LinkedIn.

Maybe because we had nothing to sell, nothing to prove and we experienced real interaction over a drink.

What to visit in Lisboa? 🇵🇹
Time to relax before going back to work :)

In our project we always try to mix work and pleasure.
If a entrepreneur feels good, then his execution will be better.

- Co-Working WorkHub
- Second Home Co-Working
- Copenhagen Coffee Lab (Alfama)
- Simpli Coffee Roasters & Bakery
- Fabrica Coffee Roaster
- The Therapist (Alcântara)

Places/neighborhoods to visit :
- Alfama “Tram 28” (authentic district)
- Baixa-Chiado (tourist district)
- Bairro Alto (bars, restaurants area)
- Château Saint-Georges
- Mirador des Portas do Sol
- Sta. Luzia viewpoint
- Lx Factory (alternative space)
- The Therapist (bar/restaurant)

And of course, a little surfing lesson before coming back to France:
