WHAT IF I HAD SEEN MY FUTURE?
-By Banani Das Chowdhury
Imagine being born with the mystical power of knowing the future! How would you be living, with excitement or desperation if you got to know for sure what’s tomorrow is going to bring for you? In this blogpost, I am sharing my thoughts exploring this hypothesis that suppose if I get to know at my teenage about what’s in store for my future and what could be the challenges and brighter sides of this facing through adulthood? Get your imaginations rolling and let my words ignite more insights into exploring this pictorial mindfully.
Receiving a Clairvoyance
Let’s suppose I prayed to the divine for some answers and received clairvoyance. I got to know what my future is going to be. I knew I was going to be in which profession, how successful I would be, who I would be marrying, where I would be staying, and how all the significant events of my life be, in a nutshell. That mystical call told me everything about the end picture but not about how all these are going to happen!
Becoming Happily Commitment to the Future
This very moment of the future revelation brought me immense excitement. I became certain about everything and felt like jumping into what tomorrow was going to bring for me. I knew what was going to happen and started becoming devoted to the future which hadn’t happened yet.
Free Wills Didn’t Remain Free
Sometimes I rejoiced and other times felt compressing my free choices in the wake of knowing my future.
· I took the courses accordingly to get into my foreseen profession. I didn’t like but I thought I should become passionate about this to make sure my future self succeeds at it
· I didn’t think to ever go for a date and give myself the liberty of falling in love for I already knew whom I was going to marry later in life for I had seen my future.
· I started deciding everything alike based on how I had seen my future is going to be like. I compromised on my choices and free will to make.
The Emotional Surges and Drains
I had seen a future that was yet struggling to plot its ground at present. I didn’t know what was happening and how the future events are going to take place to make the clairvoyance right. How would my nightmares of being clueless at these junctures, affect brightly and dimly upon my mental, emotional, and overall health, think on this.
Surges
· I felt assured my future was good and it felt good
· I remained hopeful in spite of all the challenges I was facing
· I became more introspective
· I became more accountable
· I became mindful of acting on impulse and temptations
· I had grown as a person from doubting to realizing through the journey of time
The Drains
· I gave in to the decisions that weren’t my choices and it brought dissatisfactions, frustration often
· I felt guilty about exploring infatuations
· My heart, mind, and spirit felt blocked
· I was not living at present
· I was getting anxiety
· I didn’t enjoy the process
· I didn’t trust the process

The Lessons I Learnt
When you have seen the future you also learn how important is it for you to live in the now. Exploring through this scenario if I had seen my future, the lessons how I would have ripened with growth in adulthood, the insights I am learning from this hypothesis are:
· Don’t struggle between present and future
· Learn from the dynamics of the phenomenon — past, present, and future
· Live in the now, be present
· Practice Mindfulness, Stay aware
· Explore your choices and choose as per your principles, experiences, instincts
· Be open to possibilities
· Be certain to embrace uncertainties
· Trust the process
· Do What you need to do
· Stay Excited and be hopeful
· Journey is more beautiful than a mere destination
· Nothing is final till it’s done
· Regard your free will and respect others’ free will
· Future could be destined but your actions, reactions along with diverse factors at play do have a significant role in making things happen as well.
It’s not always about seeing a dream it’s about living the dream. If you have seen your future or rather you have envisioned your future, set your goals, marked your priorities, made your choices, and likewise in any sphere of life be it, you got to have your mind over the matter, work on it, be persistent and mindful, live and believe in the now, trust the process and have faith. Seeing the future could be a triumphing card sometimes if you learn the art of balancing between embracing the uncertainties of challenges and holding the excitement to let the future unfold unto itself, just as you know every dusk leads to the dawn, an eternal reality.
What are your thoughts and anticipations on if you had seen your future, how would you have explored this exciting yet challenging journey of knowing it all yet let the mystery unfold on itself bridging the gap in between?
