Al Ain city is becoming a famous destination for tourists because of its attractions. It’s well known as the Green city of UAE. Al Ain is famous for its attractions which include hills, zoo, museum, parks, camel racing, and Adventure Park. So let us gear up to unveil different places to visit in Al Ain which comes inside emirates of Abu Dhabi.

JEBEL HAFEET AL AIN

People who loves natural beauty at its prime, this could be the location you are looking for. Jebel Hafeet is situated on the outskirts of the city Al Ain. Scoring tall Jebel Hafeet has been the guardian of the city from the nearby country Cuba. The height of the mountain is 1240 meters. It is the second tallest mountain in UAE. The view from the top of the mountain is unbelievable. The site is also an important place of archeological importance. With the help of excavation, various vessels were found from the time of Bronze Age. 500 tombs were found with a history of 5000 years.

AL AIN NATIONAL MUSEUM

If you are a person who likes to explore the chronicles of ancient times Al Ain National Museum is a place you must take a visit. These treasures have been preserved by the government of UAE. It was inaugurated in the year 1970 by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The museum is divided into three section archeological stuff, Ethnography and Gifts offered to Al Ain National Museum. Archeological section belongings have shreds of evidence dated back to late 5000 years of the Mesopotamian age found in Jebel Hafeet. Ethnography section displays the Islamic tradition and culture of UAE. Gifts section includes gifts received by UAE from NASA.

AL AIN ZOO

If you are fond of animals Al Ain Zoo is a place you would like to make a visit. The zoo is spread over an area of 900 hectares including 500 hectares which lies on hills of Jebel Hafeet. The Al Ain Zoo gives shelter to about 4000 different species under one roof. One can witness some rare species in the world which include white lion, puma, and Bengal tiger. About 30% of its species are said to be in danger. It is specially designed in a way that the animals feel that they are in their natural habitat as well as the tourist can have a good look at the animals.

AL JAHILI FORT AL AIN

The biggest castle in Al Ain is Al Jahili Fort. It represents the local military and architectural history of UAE. The construction of the fort started in the year 1891 by Sheikh Zayed the First and was completed in the year 1898. The location of the fort was well thought off, as it was near to water resource and the farming area too. Over the time the fort was almost discarded due to the creation of new forts. But in 1950, British reestablished the fort due to its strategic location. The fort is divided into east,west,north and south wings. North wing is devoted to the photographer Wilfred Thesiger and is called “Bin London and Freedom of the Desert”. West wing is converted into exhibition center and south wing contains information about the fort.

WADI ADVENTURE PARK AL AIN

If you are in love with adventure activities, Wadi Adventure Park is the destination you may like to visit. The park is designed in a manner that there is something for every age group. Different adventure activities are available in the park that includes Air Park, Wake Park, Surf Pool, Wave Pool, lounge, kid’s splash, and Family pool. It is the center of world’s first man-made surfing and kayaking facility. Arial obstacle, zip line, giant swing, wall climbing, beach are other activities that you can enjoy at the park. The park is facilitated with accommodation, cafe and rafter grill area.

QSAR AL MUWAIJI AL AIN

The monument has a special relevance in the history of UAE. It’s the birthplace of the president of UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The picture perfect structure of the monument makes it an attractive destination for visitors. It was built in the early 20th century and has been standing tall for more than 100 years. The palace was turned into a museum when Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan became the president of UAE in the year 1966. The palace reflects the living style of Al Nahyan family. It is a remarkable exhibit of different archaeologists, conservators, architects, and historians.

HILI FUN CITY AL AIN

Hili Fun City is full of entertainment destinations for you and your family. The amusement park is based on the theme of family time out. The main attractions of the park are divided among kid’s attraction and family attraction. Among kids attractions include circus swing, circus clown, crazy train, funny traffic, flying clowns, jumping stars, safari, and mini airport. The entertainment for the family includes carousel, hili swinger, hili express, traffic jam, amphitheater, Sinbad cruise, Alibaba, cycle shop, 3D action cinema and Sinbad farms. It was open in 1985 to be Gulfs first theme park. There are 48 different rides which invites you towards it.

CAMEL RACING AL AIN

Camel Racing is a sport which can find in the Gulf region. Camel Racing can be memorable experiences if you can witness it while your visit to Al Ain. If you want you may hire a car to see these races from nearby. Camel racing has there been for years. It could be amazing to see how much speed these animals can gain on man-made tracks. These camels who take part in such races are specially trained for races. They are not used for breading or food purpose. If you want to see camel racing get to Al Wathba Camel Race Track in Al Ain.
