My Secret to Get Cheaper Than $10,000 House in Thailand

(Illustrated template for the house)

My newest home has two bedrooms and two baths on 40 square meter plus it did cost us only $10,900 to construct it fully inclusive (including labour, materials and registration with the local authorities ).

For extra $3,000 to $5,000 we can also pull the walls on the ground floor, which could double the living room into 80 square meters. Tell me if that’s not impressive? IKR?

Before we move further to the core ingredient of this secret sauce, I will give you a hint that the house was knock-down built. (So in Thai we call this “บ้านน็อคดาวน์”) The PROS which Knock-Down houses possess, is that the surprisingly minimal cost, the quickest completion you could ever imagine, and that’s extremely simple and economical to add more rooms to the built house. The CONS however will be the lifespan of only 30 decades (but based on my age of 30s I would say that’s like forever already. and it is not quite as stable as a home build from whole bricks.

Economic-wise I wouldn’t call it a bad investment, for the price 1/10 of the normal house; the ones you pay 30 years on mortgage, knock-down house will help you break even right after its completion.

Knock-Down homes have a typical concrete base as every other residence. The most important thing is that Knock-Down homes are a fantastic choice to your brick home when you’ve got a minimal budget. For us it made sense because we’ve spent more cash renting a similar home during the previous two and a half a year, then for the building of our Knock-Down home.
Among the quickest and most affordable way to get your house in Thailand is by constructing a so called Knock-Down home.

Typically most components are being hammered offside and the construction process onside only requires 1- 2 weeks. By the date of signing the contract before the conclusion of the property, it took 9 weeks.

And that should be it, not really a secret that everyone can’t follow. I again have to thank SWKnockdown for such an exceptional build quality.
